I generally say that I’m Asian American, but to be fair I’d say I’m a lot more American than I am Asian. There’s like small, well, other than physically, the Japanese part of my life is actually a very small part. Culturally, I think we’re a very Americanized family. We do a lot of the stereotypical things in a Japanese way, we eat Japanese food and do stuff like that but we’re really not, we don’t celebrate Japanese holidays or do anything with that. Um, so really it depends, I usually check the Asian American box on applications and job interviews and stuff like that but… I definitely wouldn’t identify myself as entirely Japanese, I would say if I had to choose between one or the other I would definitely say American. There’s definitely a little bit of Japanese in me as well.
