AM: what do you think about Asian-American, that term?
1-02: I guess I kind of see Asian Americans as being torn between two cultures? Like, when you go to China you aren’t really Chinese and when you’re in America, you’re still Asian. With it brings some benefits like Affirmative Action, but there’s also discrimination and racial slurs and stuff like that. So like, there’s still issues to overcome, but I’m still glad that I’m American. There’s jokes too, with stereotypes. Like Asian math skills and stuff like that. No, there’s stereotypes ALL OVER. I mean, I was in New York in Chinatown and we were walking by this kid who was saying like, “man, we’re Asian, so we gotta be good at math!”
